Creative intervention to existing buildings has been the early staple of the office, many of the projects being arts-related such at the Fruitmarket Gallery, Dundee Contemporary Arts, the Stirling Tolbooth Music and Arts Centre and the Eastgate Theatre and Arts Centre, Peebles etc. Today, however, its work has been varied, housing and educational and commercial, with work throughout the UK (most notably is extensive work for the University of East London) and internationally with a new Foreign Office British High Commission in Sri Lanka, renovation of the British Embassy in Skopje, Macedonia and a new secondary school in Malta.
