This award winning project replaced 45 vandalised garages with 8 new houses for Notting Hill Housing Association. The design includes a number of sustainable features including cedar external cladding, a green sedum roof, and gabion walls filled with recycled masonry.
KT was responsible for developing the detailed design, and the production of all the working drawings and specifications for the project.
Gold Lane went on to win a number of design awards including:-
* The Grand Designs Magazine Awards "Best Housing Development 2006
* RIBA Housing Design Award 2002
* The Federation of Black Housing Organisations (FBHO) Best Housing Design 2004
It was also used as case study in the Mayor of London's GLA Living Roofs Project in 2004 as well as being used extensively to promote the "Sarnavert" roofing system.
