The scheme has been specifically designed to ensure that the character of the existing building is enhanced and nothing of the existing building is harmed or put out of context. The extension is located to the rear of the property and extends out within the foot print of an existing conservatory.

The proposed building has been design to include a Victorian featured glazed lantern which is located centrally on the flat roof giving both light and architectural interest to the kitchen area. The glazed theme continues on the West side of the extension with a double door entrance which again is fully glazed and provides both interest and natural light into the dinning area. The flat roof is surrounded with a parapet wall which is finished with Victorian style copingstone that enhances the existing details of the main dwelling. The brick work is to be imperial so as to match the existing brickwork. The windows are to match the existing style to give continuity through out the building
